Prof Satya Pal Shrivatsa was awarded with prestigious Hinditar Bhashi Lekhak Puraskar for the year 2010 by Kendriya Hindi Nideshalaya (Central Hindi Directorate), Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. This award comprises Rs 1 lakh and a citation.
Prof Satya Pal Shrivatsa was awarded for this prestigious award for translation work titled “Boond Boond Smritiyan”. The Book was
published by Sahitya Akademi.This book is Hindi translation of award winning Dogri travelogue “Trip Trip Chete” by renowned Dogri writer Om
Vidyarthi. This award is given to literary persons working for promotion of Hindi language in a non-Hindi speaking state.
In recognition to his works, Prof Shrivatsa was also bestowed with the honour of prestigious “Babu Ganga Sharan Singh” award instituted
by Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra. The award was conferred on him by the then President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on September 14,2006 at
Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi in recognition to the contribution made in promotion of Hindi in J&K state. He received a cash prize of Rs 50,000
and a citation.
He was also awarded by Jammu Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and
Languages in 2013.
He has also been felicitated by other literary and social organisations like
